Throughout the third quarter of 2021, the leading carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Brazil displayed significant performance metrics. According to Sensor Tower, here’s a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user trends for the top 5 apps.

Uber - Request a ride consistently led the market with weekly downloads fluctuating between approximately 190K and 240K. The highest download peak occurred in the week of September 6, reaching around 238K. Active users for this app remained robust, starting at 8.5M at the beginning of the quarter and ending at 8.8M by the last week of September.

inDrive. Save on city rides also showed strong performance, with downloads ranging from 89K to 131K weekly. The app's downloads peaked in the week of August 9 at about 131K. Active users increased steadily from 1.8M in late June to over 2.1M by the end of September.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver saw varied download numbers, with a notable peak in the week of August 16 at approximately 120K. Active user count grew from 766K at the start of the quarter to nearly 797K by the end of September, demonstrating a steady user base.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus experienced incremental growth in downloads, with numbers ranging from 22K to 46K weekly.
